Credit & Debit Processing
Pemco offers "in-house" or pass-through processing. When members use your cards, we send authorization requests and results between your institution and Visa/MasterCard. Our award-winning processing service features effective fraud-protection, flexible card loyalty programs, and the best customer service in the industry.
- Pass-through Visa and MasterCard transaction processing. An in-house program gives you complete access to your cardholder files. Since credit card accounts are essentially treated as loans, you set the interest rates and control statement production, transaction posting, and payment processing.
- Authorization. Our award-winning system reliability and response time means cardholders won't be kept waiting for authorizations. We give our customers two authorization options: a Positive Balance File, or an online interface using a Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPN uses secure DES encryption, and operates on your existing high-speed Internet connection. Pemco stands in if the link to your financial institution is unavailable or if an authorization request isn't returned from the issuer within five seconds.
- EFT switching and routing for ATM and POS debit. We connect with the major networks and gateways—STAR, CO-OP, NYCE, and PULSE—for coast-to-coast ATM and PIN-secured POS debit access.
- Chargeback. You can choose to process chargebacks yourself using our online interface, or get professional assistance from our team of experts. Pemco is compliant with Visa Resolve Online and Visa Re-engineering Disputes (RED) protocols. Customers can deliver documentation online through our secure Web-based Document Drop-Off service.
- Cardholder data security. To ensure that your cardholder information is secure, Pemco is fully compliant with all Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards as mandated by the card associations.
- Card management. We'll take care of embossing, encoding, and mailing. Card design assistance is available. Get next-day service for 250 or fewer cards and three-day servcie for larger orders. Pemco provides a toll-free audio response line for card activation, 24/7.
- PIN management. We offer cardholder-selected PINs, in-house PIN verification, CVV/CVC, PIN keys, and stronm encryption.
- Reporting. Reports are available through OnDemand, a Web-based system, or through encrypted daily e-mail.
- Settlement. One hundred percent interchange reimbursement is provided daily.
- Instant issue and activation. For new accounts or lost cards, this service enables customers to immediately emboss, encode, and activate a card while the member is waiting. A PIN is also generated when the card is issued.
